Marcus Keith Biography
Marcus has an endless passion for music which began in 1989 with a degree in Performing Arts. He then went on to join a contemporary cabaret band and later formed his own band 'Soul Providers'. The band became the foundation to Marcus' musical style and unique performances. With the band he wrote 15 original soul/pop songs which gained much critical acclaim and won them a place in the National Final of the 'Panasonic Rock School' hosted by Mike Reid & Athena Turner for ITV's Granada Productions. After appearing on national television, Soul Providers were introduced to record producer Les Spain, and made numerous TV appearances and recordings for EMI and Talking Loud Records.
After 12 months Soul Providers came to a natural end and Marcus formed a very successful duo which took him to various parts of the world for both long and short stay tours. Since then, Marcus has become one of the North's most successful wedding music performers. He was mastered the rare skill of being able to judge the mood of his audience and perform accordingly. His down to earth manner and love of performing means he always give 100%, making him a truly professional act.
In recent years the demand for Marcus has been overwhelming with many bookings for wedding music, private weddings, birthdays and corporate entertainment functions. He is presently in negotiations with many contracts after working and entertaining many celebrity weddings and functions and he has established some regular performances in Dubai for royalty services. He is available to hire throughout the UK and overseas.
